While in Sonoma County, we feel as though it is a must to stop by downtown Petaluma and enjoy some good food and delicious wine in the relaxed environment of two places. Our first pick is La Dolce VIta WIne Lounge. LDV has an expansive wine collection from around the world and fun food to pair with them.

We also love a small restaurant simply name Sugo. With a simple menu of all amazing food choices and daily specials that are sure to knock the socks off of any diner, Sugo is a must.

If you love Bubbly then you have to stop at Domaine Carneros. There are hundreds of places to taste great wine in Sonoma and Napa, but this is by far one of our favorites. For a tasting experience like no other, you have to visit the terrace at Domaine Carneros.

Clearly we love our wine here in Wine Country, but we have two more favorites that are a must see! First up is Sterling Vineyards. The winery is high atop a peak that overlooks the valley. While offering amazing views, Sterling has a wide variety of wines to please almost any palate. Our favorite would have to be the Malvasia Bianca especially on a warm sunny day.

Our last pick can be seen from the overlook at Sterling, which is actually how we came across the magnificent castle of Castello di Amorosa. We highly suggest that you book this adventure in advance and take the guided tour and take advantage of all that the castle has to offer. You will feel as though you have been transported to another time and a whole new land. Be sure to wear comfy shoes and a sweater as the castle has 8 levels, 107 rooms, and 121,000 square feet to explore and taste.

Ask Heather where she feels most productive and she will have one answer - San Francisco. Not in an office but at a local café called THe Grove. Her favorite location is the The Grove on Chestnut - http://www.yelp.com/biz/grove-cafe-san-francisco (try the Peach Pie!)

San Francisco also offers a wide variety of entertainment, from comedy to broadway, shopping galore, and beautiful museums and gardens. It is rare to find such a broad range of things to do and see in one area, but Golden Gate Park offers a multitude of amazing options.

Our top picks are the Japanese Tea Gardens - http://japaneseteagardensf.com/
and the recently remodeled De Young Museum - http://deyoung.famsf.org/

Another fund thing to do in the park is hit the California Academy of Sciences especially on one of their 21 and over Thursday where you can find a DJ and bartenders mixing it up amongst the sea of Jellyfish http://www.calacademy.org/

Even though our flagship office is located in Sonoma County, and we often leave our hearts in San Francisco, we would be remiss to not mention our favorite spots outside the immediate Bay Area. On our weekends off, we love to explore and here are a few places that you shouldn't miss.

The historic Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is over 100 years old, and although they have some new attractions the original wooden coaster, the "Giant Dipper" and the Looff Carousel are two attractions not to be missed. http://www.beachboardwalk.com/

A place that is a bit outside of the Bay Area is the capital city - Sacramento. Downtown Sacramento provides ample opportunities for shopping and dining, but we recommend stepping a bit back in time and explore Old Sacramento - http://www.oldsacramento.com/
